Hello
I have 10D (naturally:-)) and I am having a New Years party soon. I thought I would load my images back to a CF card, connect my camera and play them on my large screen TV just to show off during a party. Imagine my upset when neither camera nor TV do not see any of my pictures... I do process every image I keep, does'n everybody? So what am I doing wrong?
Thank you in advance for your help and have a Happy New Year!
Mike

Best thing to do is get a slideshow software (like Adobe PS Album) and create a VCD Slideshow for your DVD player

Mike you are doing nothing wong, but the camera won't show the images if they don't have the original EXIF info. I am assuming you shoot all jpeg...

Mike,
One of the best pieces of advice I have collected from this forum re Workflow is:-
Step 1. Copy all files from the CF onto CDROM
Step 2. The rest of your processing/and out put.
Ie. ALWAYS save the original files without any changes being made. Luckily I follow that advice, I have had to return to the original (unprocessed) files on several occasions.
This does not answer your problem but it would have solved the problem if you had access to unmodified backup files.

JD-60's advice is sound. This will work well but will definately add more to your workflow and there is indeed a learning curve when creating VCD's or DVD's, not to mention you will need a CD/DVD burner. You should have one of these anyway but I digress...
My favorite option, if you are primarily going to show these at home, is to hook your Computer to your TV! Your TV would display everything your computer monitor does. This way you can use your usual viewer/slideshow software.
How do you do it:
Make sure you have or buy a graphics card with 'TV Out' capability (might as well get one with 'TV In' too) and connect it to your TV with a long cable and viola, your done.
The 'TV In' option is cool because you can then view your TV as a window on your computer monitor.
Anyway, I hope this helps.

That is a pretty good advice, thank you. I do have a CD burner and all my originals are on CDs, but all my finished pictures are processed, some more and some less.
Are there any other software that can create this type of album on VCD ?
Thank you,
Mike

FWIW, many DVD players also display jpegs. My cheapo APEX player does.
