I have a marine aquarium in the early stages and have a pic of a bug I found on the glass, let me know yr honest opinions of the quality, gan canny Im a beginner! :oops:

you could do better, but you could do a lot worse too! i'm still a beginner myself....

Not a bad shot. Looks like whatever it is has egg sacs attached.

apparently I have just had it ID'd and its a nasty little thing that eats zoas or polyps which are corals I have in my tank :cry:

I was going to suggest, if it's a new setup and you didn't put it in there, I'd get rid of it before those eggs get loose. It prolly came in with the corals.

its a sea slug. and those pouches are part of its body structure, not eggs. some of these animals are quite harmless, and will only eat algea, but some are posinous (Mostly the colorful ones), and may cause harm to your tank. either way it probably isnt a bad idea to take the little critter out and let him free. let him free into his environment, not down the toilet. he did nothing to hurt you. If you dont have any saltwater in your area. just let him alone, im pretty sure he wont hurt anything.

Actually I live across the road from the sea, but unfortunately for him its the cold north sea off the north east coast of England, me thinks that will be too much of a shock for him

aahh well. looks to me like he eats algae (mainly because hes a green color, and the way he is climbing the glass, like hes looking for food) if anything he should help keep the tank clean.
