Had a great opportunity today, but I was limited in what I could do. I was allowed “backstage” in for the final construction for 12 of the rose parade floats. VERY frustrating, in that I really slammed up against the 1.6x focal length multiplier. (I use a 28-135 which works out to be a 45-216.) The warehouses were tightly cramped so I could not get a wide enough field of view for a decent shot of an entire float. So, I had to be content to focus on parts rather than the whole. This is one that I just got done dressing up a tad - any comments?

Very well done. Beautiful detail.

Have you ever considered using the pan function and stitching
images together ?
Or the other method that is most effective with film and 6x4 inch prints ?
Pasting them together roughly. They don't have to fit
exactly. This is most effective. Can't remember the guy's name
who did a book of these images. English guy, living in LA.

The pan function would have helped you in the tight
area next to the float.
