Excellent shots Bill! Great composition and clarity, and that shot with the crab spider is really nice. Well done!

I guess yellow spiders don't taste good. Did you get more shots of the spider? :D

made me Google and if the info I came across is correct it seems the larger mantids will take spiders and even small frogs. Also noted that the average human eats eight spiders whilst sleeping in a lifetime.
#3 is great shot - would have been nice to get one with spider's face too but cant have everything.

Thanks for reminding me.
I haven't thought of this in years, but in my younger days, I use to ride my bike up into the Blue Ridge in Virgina, with a few friends, then consume a couple bottles of wine before putting up the tube tents and passing out.
One morning, I woke up, on my back, mouth open, and full of daddy longlegs spiders.
I thought it was a bad dream, but no, it was real, and I was hoping I had forgotten it. :(

It was one of those instant awake and aware moments. I must have been really wasted, cause I wasn't even all the way inside the tent. So I just rolled over and spit them out.
Judging by how many ran off, I hadn't chewed any, so that was a plus.
