View Full Version : Calling all you creative photographers!!!

I'm starting up a photography club at my college (Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine) and I got stumped trying to think of ideas for a unique name... ("Photography Club" just doesn't grab me ;))

Anyways, I was hoping for any creative suggestions from the members here... Keeping in mind (if you choose to take on this daunting task :D) that I have to submit a proposal by tomorrow with the club's name on it. I can't pay much for your thoughts (actually, I can't pay at all :p) but I need your help! Please! Any suggestions would be appreciated... even if it's just to get this ol' noggin of mine rolling!

Hmmmm.... Ours is the Photography Society, which is the name of the old organization that we reanimated. We call ourselves the Photo Club (or Photography Club) because we're more concerned about bringing in beginners/amateurs than photo majors.

If you need any website ideas, feel free to check out ours : www.PSUPhotoClub.com - I designed it, and would be happy to answer any questions you have. I find that the random image on the main page (pulled from a list of member photos) helps to showcase member work. Having the ability to join the club/mailing list online via online form helps as well.

Cody, I checked out your club's site and it looks great! I'm hoping that this will get to that calibre eventually. If I have any questions later on, I will definitely give you a shout...

Remember also that when students look through the school directory of clubs (I'm assuming there is one) that they should be able to know what it is. Having an official name of Photography Club is particularly helpful if a lot of people try to find clubs through an online form (if they search for "photo" or "photography," it won't return many of these suggestions).

Sorry to go OT, but I remember seeing the name of this University I think a few days ago. Something like it started in 1978 or something? I remember psasin it, I think it was the one you mentioned anyway.

Yeah, i'm in Thornhill. I was in the car the other day, my mom was driving. I really am beginning to be amazed by how observative person I really am :).
