Mmm.Don't know about this one.Looks legit but why is a (till now) occasional seller selling a bunch of new canon lenses?
Could be a chance for a good deal if you can find out for sure how good the seller is.
Notice the current high bidder is a camera 'dealer'?lol-he thinks it's cheap

Does the term ten-foot-pole ring any bells?

They could have taken a pic of the lens itself Be careful.

B&H has the 28-135 for $400, only a bit more than these auctions will likely go for. Seems a nobrainer to pay a bit extra and go with a known reputable company.

I'd pass and go with B&H or Adorama.

Me 3, I'm all for paying a little more for piece of mind, and B&H has yet to fail!
See 10 foot pole added by RFMSports!

I was looking at those same auctions on ebay earlier today. I came to the same conclusion all of you did. I just placed my order for this lense at B&H about an hour ago.
A few bucks is a small price to pay for peace of mind.

ebay auctions are "swim at your own risk". you can
get a great deal, or you can lose your money. i've
had both experiences. you must be prepared for
both. B&H is much safer.
thanks
