Unchecking Links from Public Group doesn't work

Links continue to be displayed, even when unchecked from public group.

"when unchecked from public group" is bit vague to me. Links are always displayed for all users. They do not have per user permissions.

In Structure, there's the option for 'Public' to contain 'Exhibitions', 'Groups', and 'Links'. What's the purpose of this then if deselecting them does not hide them?

OK, the structure editor has nothing to do with permissions. You do not add something to user "public" or user "x" there, you create a structure and the structure preview shows how the selected user sees the structure.

Adding or removing links to a group is done by selecting a group from the left and then selecting/deselecting link(s) and pressing SAVE.
