Been trying to get my friends daughter in a nice pose at 10 months its almost impossible:) Caught a candid pic of her and have cut and pasted it to a portrait background. Can some one tell me how to make it better or what i should be doing differently
Cheers

This is an awsome quicktime video that explains how to cut foreground subjects from backgrounds.
Other than that, my eyes tell me that this image is nearly 1 and 1/3 stops underexposed.
I hope it works out for you!

Hi Christyjo,
Background is home made using an old roller blind i scored from an old house tha was due for demolition and coloured using some old tins of paint from my garage.
Total cost the 2 beers i had while making it

I gave your pic a quick go in PS. I duplicataed the layer, went to Image-Adjustments-Exposure then slid the exposure slider over to the right to +1.00. Then I created a mask and darkened the background to where it was before. Then just sharpened a bit and saved for web.
If someone spent a bit more time, it would look better than my version.
Great job in switching out the background!
