Can anyone help please? I have just bought my first digital camera a Powershot A80 it seems a nice camera only thing i have noticed is that one pixel in the lcd is white when you point it at anything black? I think they call it a dead pixel. I have sent an email to canon asking about it as i do notice it there more now i have found it? i am a bit dissapointed so called Jessops where i bought it and they said it is a fault and will exchange it for me which is great. But after having read all the forums on dead pixels is this something normal and am i lucky to have one and not more, will the new camera be worse? I dont know what to do as so far on here there is nobody else with a white pixel on their A80 LCD screen. i know the instructions do state that occasionally a pixel will misfire or show as red or black and this is not a malfunction but i point out it says OCCASIONALLY mines there all the time?

I havent developed any photos yet so i am wondering if it will show up in my photos? the manual states it will not effect the photos i take??

can anyone give me some advice please many thanks
Andy W

thanks for the reply Colin, i guess its something not to worry about then, how comes so many people on the forum talk about dead pixels in the CCD?

That's the ccd not the lcd.
