I use a G2 and I am very happy with it. With my 2 x 1 Gb microdrives I can store hundreds of pix.
Then, I use to print some of my pix using an Epson 950/960 (is it politically correct to say the E word here?) and the others using my old Canon S600 inkjet.
No problems with the S600, but when it comes to print on the 950 there is a serious mismatch between what I see in the monitor and what I get printed.
My first reaction was to try tweaking the space colors but after a lot of trials I was unable to get a really good printout. So I started researching, just to find that the 950 uses an especial technology that benefits from the EXIF 2.2 info to adjust the original picture colorspace (PIM I and II technologies).
Before going into the task of programming an EXIF version converter for JPEG and TIFF, I thought that may be somebody has done it before (either on the freeware side or in the payware side). If it was the case I would be very gratefuly if somebody could redirect me to the author/s. If not, I would appreciate suggestions and further information (I already have the EXIF 2.1 and 2.2 specs, but not yet the PIM I and II).
If it works I would be glad to post it in the forum for improvements.
Thanks in advance
