For a beginner, I'm really pleased with these photos, but would appreciate the comments of others to see if they could have been improvised...

The following hasn't been altered, and is quite a large image - if explorer scales to fit hit the button in the bottom right that appears when you hover over the image

This next pic of my 7 week old baby girl has been altered to black and white and has been lightened and slightly blurred to give that soft, baby effect

Well I love any backlit scene -- so this is a winner in my books. The B&W distant (DOF) field adds blurred glitter that is quite nice.

Well this little critter is a beauty. ... but.. the 2nd month shots on your website are even better (e.g. the top right and botttom left images @ 2 months are very candid.. and the baby looks real ... happy... and colorful). Here too, the blanket with the raised/stuffed animals is wonderful.

(blushes) the pics on the site are not that good as they were taken with my old Olympus, but thanks for looking - I particularly like the bottom left one on the 2nd month section also.
