And I just bought the Sandisk Extreme IV, but alas no rebate on that. Not yet, anyway.

How is the speed compared to the III, I have been very curious about that :)

Speed of the camera writing is considerably quicker. I held down the shutter release until the buffer was full. With a 4gb III, it took three to four seconds longer for the red "write" light to go out, than with the IV.

As far as copying to my Mac, it is like night and day.

I copied a 4gb III card, completely full, in 3:30 in the new Sandisk Extreme IV firewire reader. The 4gb IV card copied in 2:30, or a minute faster.

When I placed it in my San Disk USB 2.0 reader, it took almost 8 minutes.

For me, I just hate waiting for a computer to do anything. I guess it's the New Yawker in me.

I'm only sorry I didn't get the 8gb IV card. I now have two 4gb cards, one III and the IV, two 2gb III cards, 1 2gb SD card, and about four or five 1gb cards.

I'm so spoiled, I almost never use the 1gb cards anymore. On the 1DsMKII, they're just too small, holding only 50 or so shots.

Anyone tried to buy the Extreme III found in the PSAUG code at B&H? Do you think it will apply to the rebate as well, or am I mistaken that BH no longer honors the PSAUG prices? Because 67.25 After MIR is a pretty good deal.

I was wondering that myself, when you use the PSAUG code, there is no mention of rebates, hmmmmm
