Simple Lensmate adapter question

Hello all.... My first post here.

I just recieved a Lensmate 52mm Adapter for my G3 and when i put it on... it dont latch into place like the plastic ring thats normally around the lens. Its really not all that tight either and im worried about it screwing off in my bag and damaging the camera lens or even the body.
I was just wondering if this was normal or just my adapter?

Mine twists and clicks in like part of a Swiss watch or a German rifle. It sure isn't going to unscrew unless I press the release button.

Ok, i guess that answers my question. Mine must be slightly irregular... guess i need to send Lensmate an email.

Its this a 52mm for a G3 your refering to?

Mine was too tight when new and it was quite difficult to attach. This soon improved probably because it shaved off the plastic! Clicks on like the original sleeve. Are you sure you are pushing it all the way...
