Having searched for EXIF data display programs for WIndows, I find that the Exifer program displays most of the EXIF data for my Canon G5. However, the Export/CSV option does not provide anywhere near the amount of data that is displayed on screen. The selected 'field' names are all exported but lots of the displayed data is not.
I wonder if this is anything to do with the 'Register' option on startup. Does the author expect a REAL postcard to be mailed to him??
Is anyone else having this problem?

I just checked it out, & you're correct. The only way I could get all the information was to "copy to clipboard". I don't know if this is a bug in the program or a consequence of not registering. I don't use it much, so I haven't registered.
Good luck

Thanks for your comments, Dick109 and Paladin.
Yes Paladin, that is some of the EXIF data. I have looked at available EXIF data from Exifer, ZoomBrowser EX and BreezeBrowser. Exifer displays 79 fields of data, ZoomBrowser 24 and BreezeBrowser 27 for the same (flash) photograph. There is a lot of duplicated data in Exifer and both ZoomBrowser and BreezeBrowser combine 2 or 3 fields into one for some data.
ZoomBrowser offers no EXIF Export capability. EXIFER does, but see the first article in this post. BreezeBrowser provides Export on a folder basis.
BreezeBrowser also provides some data not provided by the other programs, e.g. Flash Guide number which was useful to me in identifying the cause of dark flash photos.
I have decided to purchase BreezeBrowser for a number of reasons, including its EXIF data and its RAW conversion capabilities.
By the way, the reason I wanted to export the EXIF data was to be able to easily compare (in Excel) the flash data for a number of photos taken using the G5 Program mode and the G5 Custom mode set for hyperfocal (with Av mode set to f5.6). I was getting dark photos when using the hyperfocal settings. The Guide Number data from BreezeBrowser showed me that when using hyperfocal settings, the flash output always maxed out at GN = 9. Attempts to get more illumination by setting +ve Flash Compensation were therefore not working. Hence the dark photos.

Formula400,
A friend wants to give me a copy of Adobe Photoshop 7 purchased in a European country. He uses it and has no problems with it alhto it cannot be registered in the USA. No way will I spend $600.00 US for that program. I'm curious to know if PS7 can manipulate RAW pixs and, since I didn't know about the EXIF export, does it support that, if you know?

PS7 does not handle RAW files. However, if you upgrade to 7.0.1 and then get the JPEG2000/Camera Raw plugin from Adobe, you can open RAW files with Photoshop.
Photoshop CS will open RAW files directly.
Here is a good little EXIF reader program...

4Walls,
Thanks, won't bother to mess with PS7 but will give BreezeBrowser serious consideration.
