I have a Canon Powershot A70 and i took some pictures of my rats.
First i set the camera to manual focus, about 10cm (4inches) focal
distance.(depents on how close you want to get).
I use the flash but i put a small sheet of metal in front of it, at
an angle of 45 degrees so the flash bounces off the sealing.
This way, i get better pictures because the autofocus is too slow (and
the
rats are moving too fast).
Just have a look (i will have a better website soon).
