Great work Pekka!! worth the wait. :D

Thanks, very nice photos you have there!
BTW: if you have done the retrieve of photo sizes and reports/photo breakdown shows all green you should set in basecode/SETUP_settings.php variable

$s_use_notavailable = "1";

This will enable the img tag sizes which means no more layout jumping when images load, plus few other things.

Just finished upgrading my gallery. Most went smootly.

Here is the link to my gallery: http://photo.klein-jensen.dk/ee/

There is only a few galleries as I waited for EE2 before uploading a lot of photos but now I can start on that.

A big thanks to Pekka for providing EE2 and for responding promptly to all EE2 users questions.

Here (http://photos.wood2.org.uk) is mine - though at the moment most of my pictures aren't there. I always intended to migrate my gallery (what of it is online is on Webshots, which is horrid) to EE, but wanted to wait for EE 2.

At the moment, I'm wanting to investigate what I think is a bug with metadata handling (categories from files saved in Photoshop CS2 aren't being picked up - looks like a bug in the XMP / XAP parser) before a mass migration, but it will happen at some point. What you see now is, therefore, a test.

Upgraded yesterday without any major problem. :D

I have problem with uploading, since the FTP-function doesn’t work (and it didn’t work in earlier release either). I haven't been able to pinpoint exactly what’s causing this problem, but I think it’s because my web host have closed port 21 for outgoing traffic (or something like that)

I am using EE v2.0 and Wordpress v2.0. There are a few more tweaks I do when I get back. But I am a happy camper!

Excellent software EE v2 and I glad I waited so long for it to be release! :D

That is possibly the best integration/wrap that I have seen.

How difficult was it to make WordPress and EE fit together so seamlessly?

(looking for tips here:-) )

Again great clean looking site and the photography is excellent too.

neil_r and khowaga

Thank you for your kind words. I am currently on vacation in Buenos Aires so I cannot give you a detail answer until I get back. It is late, I am just surfing my favorite websites before I fall a sleep.

But there is no intergration. EE v2.0 and Wordpress v2.0 share the same menu CSS and HTML code. Nothing special here. When I get back that s/b over a week from now I will give the details. You will be surprise how simple it is.

A few template customisations, basically to remove some unwanted features and give a slightly simplified look.

General style/font/colour changes to come...

Cheers

How did you make that "small normal big" option appear under your photos? Thanks!

Thanks

The "small normal big" options are the names I gave the resize paths and they automatically appear under the pictures. Ideally, I would like to change the colour and size of the wording because they are often invisible in certain pictures.

Thank's to all the kind help from the forums and the installer documentation which makes EE a pleasure tu use. As yet i do not really miss any features or design changes. It is just what i need...

Migration from EE1.5 -> EE2.0 worked so far except for the admin login. So i created a new EE 2.0 installation from scratch...

Well, finally find some time to upgrade from 1.5RC4 to 2.01 tonight, the result is viewable at http://xandermol.com/albums/

I really have to congratulate Pekka, upgrading went much smoother than I expected, all in all it only took two hours including tweaking the styles for integration in the rest of my site.

I have not gone trough all new options yet as I wanted to have my upgraded gallery on-line quickly, but the upgrade process has perfectly migrated all settings.

So Pekka, I am now an even more grafeful user ;-)

i had jumped in early with ee2 but with the ie6 thumbnail display bug and no ecommerce support i pulled back to my ee1.5.

thanks to the hard work of Pekka and others it looks like the issues have been resolved so i have set up a test gallery at:

http://www.yosemitestock.com/ee2/

i went for a clean install of 1.5, deleted all the 1.5 files uploaded the ee2, did the upgrades and it is now running fast and lean.

well I finally got my gallery up and running again after some mishaps, and am in the process of adding more content, though there is some stuff there now.

now I still need to figure out how to customise the appearance...
is there an easy way to get random photos in the left column that I'm missing or have people all tweaked the html?

A nice addition to your front page might be to randomize the picture/thumbnails displayed.

This is a site featuring nature photography, underwater photography and travel photography. Many images are from the island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, but there are alos images from Central America and and even some from Finland.

I am so excited to have the site running on the new 2.02 version and I thnk EE is hands down the best looking galley application out there. Pekka Rocks!!!
