halloween wedding

just wandering if anyone else is shooting a halloween wedding:oops:

I was paid a deposit for a wedding in June that was canceled ab out 3 weeks before the date, but she wanted me to keep the money and wandered if I could just apply it to when they set a date. I told her I could do that, just given I don't have any other engagements at that time. Well, she called about two weeks ago and wanted to book me for Halloween....

I don't have any problems with Halloween, in fact its one of my favorites- for the dressing up part and all the good candy! Everyone in the wedding party is suppose to be dressing up in costume. I know it will be fun, and different-......different...anyways, just wanted to see if anyone else has any plans for the day :)

i'm sure I wll have something interesting to post in a couple of weeks!

oh, and I will be shooting my most elaborate wedding to date this weekend....wish me luck. I have already dreamed of falling over the balcony and knocking someone out with my gear!

I was kinda thinking I would wear my fairy wings and be the "photo fairy" :)
No, I don't plan on dressing up for that event! Although I absolutely LOVE to dress up. The first year my hubby and I were together I dressed him up like Lenny Kravitz and I was Madonna from the music video- hey mr. dj put a record on.... Totally hot!
I will however dress up for my actual halloween gig I am doing on the 28th.

*if anyone here is around East Texas come to The Scare On the Square in downtown Nacogdoches* I am the official city photographer for the day! I will be walking around taking pics of the different events going on!! I'd love for someone to walk up to me and say "hey, I'm from POTN!"

Oh cool! I have always said I wanted to have a Halloween wedding and I wanted to dress up like a Zombie bride. I don't know if I would ever actually do it, but I think it would be awesome. I can't wait to see the pictures!

You should wear a custume too, so you can blend in. Fun!

I'd get dressed up if that was an option. I probably wouldn't go as a bride of any configuration, but I could see myself decorated as a camera body. :) Get a big cardboard box, spray paint it black, put your head on the top and even give yourself a L lens. That would be something that goes with the theme.

Better be a little L prime. Might be kinda hard to work with something as big as a 400mm f/2.8L IS protruding!

Kathy, a Halloween wedding sounds AWESOME! :D I'm already looking fwd to the photos.

Dress up if you are allowed to, but think about it being comfy!

Sigh, I always thought it'd be cool with a costume party wedding... There's just something about the idea of looking into your h2b's eyes while he's wearing a Zorro mask. :D

That was more of a joke than a real suggestion. I was just imagining how funny it would look to see someone in a wedding dress, slung with camera gear and taking photos of wolf-man getting married to bride-of-Frankenstein.

Obviously any costume should be small (not cumbersome) and understated...and should probably be cleared by the B&G ahead of time.

Thanks, I just got back from the rehearsal.....i can not wait for tomorrow! Everybody in the wedding party is gorgeous! If the pics go like I see them in my head.......It's gonna be awesome! And I finally feel like I have a real solid schedule for the pics, so hopefully that will run smoothly. :) I can not wait!!!! I am so excited! Say your prayers!
