On page 141 of the G3 book it shows you how to direct print with the date.
There is no setting in the camera to embed it.
In Zoombrowser you have a printing feature which lets you put the date and time but it prints on a background and its under the printing mode. You want layout.

Most photo editing software have a text input where you can put it anywhere on the picture.

Thanks Phili, I have Photoshop but I can't get the text to work right for me. I have tried and can't seem to get it right. So I was thinking there had to be a easier way LOL.
When I use it to put in the text the text is to small can't see it on the picture and then I go to resize it and it put's a nother and noter.
And I learned how to delete them but it want let me change the color so you can see it. the text is in black, guess there is just something I'm not doing right. But thanks for you help.

Gail. when you select the text tool a box comes up and you can change font style and color and size from there. Each time the tool is clicked it creates a layer, if you look at the right side you will see a layers pallette. Each time you click the text tool it will develop a new layer. Now all you do is create a blank page and put you cursor in the middle of the blank page and click you will se the text appear after you type it on the page and click ok. If it is too small click the cursor again and increase the font by 5 until you get the size you want. Now go to the layers pallette and do a right mouse click on the text you dont want and delete.
Once you got the hang of it it is simple. You color is in the color box on the left side all you do is select the color you want from the swatches pallette.
