How about getting Gitzo to take a picture of you and your dog enjoying a little bit of coziness keeping each other warm while it snows and blows and freezes outside? :)

BTW, looks like you have a smart dog there...he's smart enough to know that there ain't nothing he can do about the cold, the snow and the wind outside, but he sure can take advantage of it by using it as an excuse to just bumb around and take a snooze or two. :D

The problem with Gitzo taking a picture is everytime he lifts his front leg to trip the shutter he falls over...gonna need a monopod for a tripod...lol

Gee, IanD, I think you should ask you smart dog for some advice on this one. He might recommend you lean Gitzo on a wall or furniture so that he doesn't keep falling over when he tries to snap a picture. Or, you could help Gitzo out a bit and just set the 10D to 10 sec. timer... that is, if you can get yourself up off that nice and cozy, warm spot beside your smart dog. :D

When the dog wakes up I'll talk to her and see if it would not be too much trouble to help me out here. I just got a thought!
Velcro! I'll Velcro Gitzo to the wall!
Damn...I'm smart :D

Gitzo, Scmitzo.

Velcro that damned lazy dog of yours to the wall. At least Gitzo has enough energy to think of romance once in a while. The truth be known, there are a lot of 3-legged mixed breeds running around here in the desert....dogs, coyotes, lizards, bighorn sheep, etc.. (no cats---the picture of RFM's Maine Coon scared him badly).

YES. And if anyone on this forum is from the AV, please let me know. Maybe we can get together so as to show me how to take better pictures. Yes, I know, practice practice practice. Thanks for all of your help in this forum

Also, Ian, I've been meaning to speak to you about this 'master of Gitzo’ business. I think I understand what you’re saying. Anything else you want to tell us?
