In 1.5 RC 1, after selecting the photos to "upload" all I had to do was click one button and it did everything behind the scenes. When it was finished, it opened one new page.

In 2.0, after clicking the button I get one screen for EVERY image. I didn't really get a chance to play with it before I went on vacation. I'm dialed in on 56k and the upload proecss is taking forEVER! It has to load each page before going onto the next image.

Is there any way to make this a background process so I only see the page that says, "Hooray, it all worked!"?

Thanks!

You can click on continue in non-stop (there are 2 buttons - can't remember the exact text right now). I like the fact that you can choose to go through them one at a time or run a batch. With 1.5 sometimes the upload failed if i selected to many to upload. It is better this way.

With the new system you can also stop the upload and continue again later (the link is on top of the upload page).

Is there anyway to speed the process up? Even when I continue non-stop, it has to load each page before it will refresh. Beings I'm having to dial in with 56k for the next week, it takes forever to process pictures. I did 40 pictures, yesterday, and it took nearly 15 minutes!

Am I just SOL?

So you're getting faster connection in two weeks?
If you run a photo gallery it should be logical to expect that one has at least dual ISDN level connection. I really can not put time now (in next two weeks at least) redo upload script for 56K. Upcoming user upload will have a very simple UI (depending on permissions) and that should work fine with 3G phones and 56K.

I was really wondering if there was a setting I was missing to make it go faster. The nice thing about the old version is once the pictures were uploaded via FTP, you were basically done. Click one button and a few seconds later all was finished. This versions loads one page per picture, even when they were send via FTP, and it takes forEVER on slower connections.

I usually have a broadband but I'm currently away from home and the only connection available is 56k.

Oh well
