Hey Gail, I really like the 2nd one. U could get a cowboy theme going for that as he's wearing the hat...
The lighting's good. Maybe you could add an antique colour tone and put some writing in at the bottom in a 'wild wild west' type of font (like you see in the 'wanted' posters!). Let us know what you think :)
