Whats your hit rate, how many photos do you take on a typical outing and how many of these are worth editing further and how many are photos which are worth printing or even selling.
I tend to find that I may take a hundred or more shots, I get 5-10 which are worth PS and *maybee* one which is worth printing.
So just curious whats YOUR hit rate ?
Thanks in advance.

Depends on what I'm shooting. If I'm doing senior portraits, I usually shoot 80-100 and dicard about 20% of those. With sports, the discard rate is a bit higher. I'd estimate that I process around 65 to 70%. There are a lot of things that factor into it, like amount of light, whether the subjects I'm shooting are particularly photogenic, and the level of action going on during a game.

I have been shooting film and had varying success rate...depending on the weather/mood/time/gap in photography...
Usually 1-2 good pics every 24 and a worth show-off every 60...
Early learning stages...this week onward I'll be digital with Canon Rebel XTi...so I hope to improve my results:)
