Okay, I promise that this is the last post I'll make before I go to bed (and before I actually install your software!)
I just wanted to note that I'd love to see EE-based galleries be more viral. What do I mean by this? Well, I think it would be great for visitors to these photo sites to have more options to get their friends to visit, too! And also, more options of reminders for them to come back as well, and markers for when they DO return :)
E-cards were already mentioned in another thread, but beyond this, I'd really like:
- Tell a friend
An option to easily send a link to the current page to a friend.
- New photo notifications
With this, visitors could submit their e-mail address, and be notified anytime there's a new photo in a particular category (e.g., a new Animal photo posted).
- What's new since last visit
This would indeed require cookies, but I think it would be both fun and useful for folks to see all (or the top 10) photos that are new since their last visit... either overall, or by category.
Thanks very much for taking these ideas into consideration. Now I'll shut up, go sleep, and finally try out EE for myself tomorrow, er today!
