On the new page format, Personally I much prefer the older one.

One important thing missing on the new one is the AUTHOR of the
photographs.

We see who was the last person to leave a comment, but we don't know
WHO POSTED THE IMAGE. I really think this is very important to know.

With so many posts often we look for work by certain people.
Now we can't.

Well it will take a few weeks to become familar with the new features, but they look terrific at 1st glance. I love the idea of poll questions, the added control over fonts, the easy "IMG" insert for images, the sort features on the members list, the font is clean, the approach to image sizing, etc.

Now I have to get on the bandwagon with ICQ and other web features that I am not using.

Eland, that is available via "rollover", i.e. when you roll your cursor over the topic it will show the author. Arguably, its not as easy as looking down the page for the favorite authors, on the other hand it keeps things less cluttered.

I must agree with eland. The missing author of a thread is really a big flaw.
I also dont like the same color of unvisited/visited links. Because of this I'm not able to determine, which thread I have already visited.

...and guys,. take the time to get to see what the new features are for the forum before deciding the old one is better,. there are so many wonderfull improvemnets,. we are light years ahead of where we were with the old forum.

The search features,. the autoreduction of image sizes for "preview" with full size images available by clicking the image,. the "view posts since last visit"

I think once you get familiar with these added features you will learn to love the changes! :wink:
