The PC cord that I have (came with my AB light) is really tight in my 20D's PC socket. It goes in just fine but I almost can't pull it out. It so small that I can't get more than a finger/thumb grip on it...and I obviously don't want to reaf on it. I feel like I'm going to break something, every time I pull it off. Should I get a new cord or not worry about it and just bee careful? ( pun intended).

Have you tried pulling it out while twisting it (rotating?) left and right? That usually works for me with stubborn PC terminals.

Yes I do...and that's the only way it comes out at all...but even with the twisting, it still feels like I'm going to rip the thing apart. Maybe I should use some grease.

Maybe I should use some grease. Most grease does not conduct electricity well. There is special electrically conductive grease but you would risk a short with that. I would avoid lubricants.

Too tight is better than too loose. It will probably loosen up over time. Meanwhile you don't have to worry about it falling out.

Very judicious lubrication will work.

Take a Q-tip and run it through your scalp a few times (this assumes you do not use any sort of hair oil, cream, jell, etc).

Rub Q-tip on the PC terminal on you camera.

This should give you an extremely small amount of oil on the terminal, enough to really help get the PC connector off, but not enough to gum up things.

Please let me know how this works.

Enjoy! Lon

I woudl imagine after soem time it'll loosen up. you could try another brand cord though. there's always room for spares.
