:?: Tried to find an unusual angle on this beach. How does this look?

Thanks

Shot looks a little shifted to the right to me. If aimed or moved a little to the right, the shell's shadow would really add to the composition more than the washed out horizon does.

However, you were looking for a unique angle. You certainly accomplished that.

Thanks for the comments. I agree about the shadow. I can't remember having been aware of it at all when I composed the picture. I knew the headland (and nearly all of the beach) would be out of focus but I wanted it included as it is a distinctive feature of the beach. Agree I could easily have lost a good bit (but not all) of the washed out horizon.

I agree about moving a bit, perhaps so the shell's shadow had led you into the picture. That said, I admire the creativity and desire to find new ways of seeing. Nice work. As is the photo is still nice.

Well you certainly found an unusual angle.

Have you tried cropping off the out of focus background (along the line of the top of the sand. Then it is just the sand and the shell, which is a much simpler image> Not necessarily better, but another option to consider.
