I am doing a series of these for my final project in Large format (4x5) b&w. I know its not digital but I took a picture of the print  . Its still wet, thats why its bumpy looking. But I need some imput, ideas, critique.

Luke, I like this because it is original. Roaches on a strawberry would turn most people off, but it certainly is a different way of looking at something. We may not like to think about it, but my guess is that there are actually roaches somewhere crawing on a strawberry this very moment.
I like your composition a lot. How did you get those little buggers to stay where you wanted them?
Your blacks look blocked up on the wet print, but I am sure there is probably detail there.
I think this image is artsy, bold and should get a good grade as a final project.

That is a fantastic idea! It might be me, or it might be the photo....but my first impression was that the strawberry looks very dull.

Is this the photo that will be handed in? Do you have more from the same set-up? Is there perhaps a photo that shows more of the leaves?

Looks like you had great lighting. Super work.

Hard to really analyze specific things about the image due to it being a photo of a photo but I really like the concept and it looks good from what I can see :) Does the "never work with kids or pets" saying apply to insects, too? How hard were roaches to work with? :p

Thanks for the comments so far!

The bugs werent hard to work with, I froze them overnight and positioned them to where I wanted them. They all eventually came back to life as I was shooting so I would have to switch them out for "fresh" frozen ones lol.

The blacks arent as blocked up as they look, there is detail in them in most areas (except for the very smooth shell part).

I have alot of different shots (well 3 others) from this setup, I am doing a full series on this so if you would want to see something specific tried I will most likely take in the range of 25-50 sheets of this subject (minus the strawberry substituted for other foods).
