I was wondering if anyone had found any off-the-shelf ICC profiles for the EOS300D as a quick method for getting a bit closer in photoshop for the majority of the images I shoot?

Or any good software for creating profiles on MacOSX?

Thanks

A bit closer to what? If you mean you want to have accurate colours (i.e. you want the colour on the photo to look like the colour of the object you photographed in real life), you should use custom white balance. Make a photo of a white or gray card, choose this image as the reference for the custom white balance and set the camera to custom white balance (see the manual for the details....).

If you are shooting RAW, you can use CaptureOne DSLR Rebel ( http://www.c1dslr.com ) to convert your RAW images. An ICC profile for the camera is included with the software.

Have you tried the Adobe RGB and sRGB profiles built into the camera? You can also set custom profiles, so you may want to play around with those a bit. Other than that, I don't know of a way to upload a new profile to the camera, or anything like that.

As Jesper pointed out, you could also set a custom white balance profile for a more precise setting.

I haven't used this software, but it doesn't look like it has any more features than the Canon File Viewer software. Also, it is not available for Mac OS X.
