I just want everyone to see my dog.
Please remember him, as he just past away last night around 11.
His name was Bailey, and he lived a wonderful life of 9 years and 2 months, and I spoiled him every minute!
He was a great dog, it pains me horribly to lose him.

This was taken fortunately just sunday by my pool.

At night we couldnt trust him and his little bladder, so he slept next to my bed in his basket! This was taken maybe 6 months ago.

Thanks for looking.

What a sweetie. I am so sorry for your loss. My Bayley is also a close member of our family.

God I am so sorry to hear this. We just lost our little Doxie of 15 years a few weeks back and it still pains me. After having them for that long it is really hard to think of life without them. Take heart and remember the joy. If there is a Heaven our dogs have to be there.

I am so sorry. I know what you are going through and I wish there was something I could say to easy your pain. My wife and I have had 4 dogs in our time together and the loss of each was difficult. Each time we vowed never again, but a house just seemed empty without their soul. This summer my pup Scout was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor and given a few weeks. He has exceeded expectations by a couple of months but soon his time will come as well.

So sorry. It really is hard.
I know i never could handle this again, but once you have one, its so hard with him not there. I dont konw about getting another one, because i dont want to forget Bailey. He was my first dog. Ive had bunnies and fish, when i was younger. But Bailey was so much more.
Its amazing how much you love them, and i think sometimes pet owners take it for granted, i cant believe how much life revolved around my dog. Now that he is gone, things around the house just arent right.
And having to deal with this is not right.

Yes you can, but not now. There will never be a replacement for Baily, ever. He was unique

You will never forget Baily, ever. I have had six dogs in my life, two before I married and 4 afterwards. To this day I can remember each clearly as each was unique.

He was my first dog. Ive had bunnies and fish, when i was younger. But Bailey was so much more.
I don't know what it is about dogs, but I agree with you. I have had dozens of fish, hamsters and other critters, but a dog becomes part of the family in a way that other critters never do.

Its amazing how much you love them, and i think sometimes pet owners take it for granted, i cant believe how much life revolved around my dog. Now that he is gone, things around the house just arent right.
Yup, dogs become part of your pack and enter a space in your heart that no one else ever can . They are completely non-judgmental and accept you without question. But you are right, things around the house will just not seem right.

And having to deal with this is not right.
Unfortunately dealing with this is right. It is not fun but is inevitable. It's just part of the program. You are young and have many years ahead. Grieve for your pup, it's a good thing. As the days go by your grief will subside. After a few months or maybe more, the hankering will strike and you will stop by your local pound and who knows, one of them little critters just might follow you home.

Sorry for your loss. Some people will say our pets are just animals and don't understand our pain. Pets become part of our family, our friends and our protectors.

Several years back I lost my 110 lb German Shephard. I had him 14 years, which is a long time for a big dog. His last few years were the worst for me as I saw him get old very fast. I am not ashamed to say that as a man I cried like a baby when I had to put him down in the Vet's office. The Vet was the sweetest person, she sent me a card the next day to let me know I did the right thing and that my friend lived a long good life under my care. I have his memories and pictures now and always shed a tear remembering him.

So you are not alone in your loss as many of us can feel your pain.

I'm so sorry for your loss. And I truly understand. In the last three years, I lost my 16 year old German Shepherd, a 15 year old cat, and my 18 year old kitty, all of which I had raised since they were small. It's a terrible thing to lose a pet that you regard as a member of your family.

I’m sorry to hear about your loss. It’s always much harder than anybody can believe to lose a dog. I’m sure you’ve got lots of great memories of your years with him. Cherish those memories, and he will be with you in your heart forever.

I'm so sorry for your loss. He looks lovely and spoilt. Its so hard when you lose a pet that has become such an important part of your life. We've lost 2 of ours in the last 3 years, and they are still missed terribly. We have 4 Cavaliers now, and whilst they do not, and never will, replace the 2 girls we lost, they do help ease the pain.
Thinking of you at this difficult time.

I'M sorry for your loss. I have lost 3 of my closest "Friends" over the years and you never forget them.
You're right things are not the same without him but in time you will adjust, and your memories, and pictures of him will always be there to comfort you.
My condolences.

Wow...my condolences as well. I lost a dog when I was younger...his name was 'Wimpy' -- he was only a few months old...poor thing. Now, I read this, and all sorts of memories come back.

Sorry for your loss...but, at least he is remembered, and will be, for a long time to come.

I hope your memories of his life will be of the good times, and that he will live on in your heart. Be strong, he is at peace and I truly beleive that all we love will be waiting for us at the end of the path.

there is nothing as fine as the love of, and for, a dog.
