Other then the fact that the A300 is 3.2 MP and smaller, what are the differences between the A300 and A60? I have a Digital Rebel and I'm looking for an inexpensive PS for fishing pics that I can just trow in my tackle box. They can both be had for about the same price. I know the A60 has manual modes, which I like. Does the A300?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks S45 but I was hoping for some personal experience. I appreciate you pointing me to the very hard to find Canon website, though. :lol:

Well, the hard-to-find Canon website does answer your hard-to-answer questions like "what is the difference" and "does the a300 have manual mode". Or perhaps reading the two dozen threads already on this website concerning the A300 and A60 might help, but that might require work on your part :?

Like I said, I was looking for personal experience and I did search and found no topics coparing the two. I tend to subscribe to the "If you don't have anything nice to say..." theory but I guess you don't and that's o.k. Sorry I hurt your fragile feelings with my response.

Go for A60.. more manual functionalities and optical zoom.. rather than A300.. A60 is just like A70 but 2mpix.. IMHO A60 is superior than A300

Ovi,

Just a personal opinion--digital zoom is worthless. Avoid any camera that only has digital zoom. So go for the A60.
