Just started playing with my first DSLR. I noticed that when I view the photos at 100% I can see very faint horizontal dark line that run across the image. Is this normal for digital, or is there an issue with the camera? I have posted a 100% zoom section of an image as a sample at www.freshphotography.net/banding.jpg
Am I crazy? Or is something wrong with this?

Hi KKent,
Welcome. I looked at your image and I don't see a dark line or anything else that is strange to my eye... could be me. Maybe others will have a go... Dennis

Looks OK to me as well.
It's not a very thin wire on the inside of your monitor is it? some CRT's have two of these (one near the top the other the bottom) to hold the aperture grille/shadow mask in place.

A Duplicate?

Anyway..The hi-res that you posted looks pretty abnormal. Is that straight from the camera, or is there any post proc? I've never seen anything like that, and it's quite pronounced in the second one. The worst part of it is that it would be a fantastic photo if it weren't for the lines.
