Shots # 4 & 8 are very nice, 8 looks a little overexposed but the action in both is very good, you caught it well. They look like they were shot from a low angle which really works in your favour.

As for the others :
#1 I may well have cropped this tight across the upper torso area of the subject to add some emphasis to the keeper punching the ball away.

#2 If this were shot head on then it would work alot better, as it is it's a little 'busy' &the ball is also to far away from the subjects.

#3 Again the ball is a little too far away, would also benefit from a tighter crop but the #24 player would prolly ruin the chances of doing this well.

# 5 Is a nice shot, from a lower perspective would make it better. The hand coming into shot from the LHS is a bit of a bummer.

# 6 Yep not bad, not alot of action but it could work as a stock shot. Bit grainy but the light looks less than great so you did well considering.

# 7 IMO the weakest of the shots here. It's looks awkward for a number of the above reasons, height, distracting player coming into frame, ball to far away & the main subject of the picture is shot from the rear.

I said it before and I'll say it again....#8 is a cracker. Keep it up :)

7 and 8 are actually the shots that just look funny (8 if you do a 100% crop of the bottom guy's face). 4+8 are better exposed on the raw, but i over did them in jpg when i sent them to the editor, since the 4 color shots before came out too dark when they printed it (these shots are the unused ones for school paper).

yes, the lighting in the night game was bad, but only because a third of the lightbulbs went out when a breaker was thrown... didn't get back online until about 10 min before i wrapped up my 1gb card (don't shoot many shots at each game, just between 50-100 give me 4-5 good shots the editors can use, and a few decent ones i can post here;))
