I bought two months ago above camera (from Finland) and couple of weeks ago underwater housing (from Australia).

Problem is that camera comes very hot under water, I took some hundred pictures and didn't exceed max. depth which is 30 meters. Max. dive time was 60 minutes.

After each dive camera was hot and I always removed it and kept in aircon room and place back to housing just couple minutes before next dive.

After while "display" buttom stop working and after last dives all the buttoms didn't work until the next day. I removed the battery, after several hours they still didn't work - I could take pictures, but I couldn't scroll any pictures, I couldn't use makro or wb buttoms etc.

Then around 24 hours all the buttoms work except the first trouble (display) buttom.

Does anyone have similar experience? Is factory delivering "winter" models to Finland.

Thank you any kind of information.

Try placing a small silica gel pack in the housing when you use it. Taking from a dry air conditioned room outside to a more humid atmosphere, then sealing in an airtight container possibly caused condensation.

Thanks Pblevitt,

But condensation is not a problem, the problem is a heat!

Please if anybody has any experience above problem please reply or if no problem at all please let me know.

Thnak you.

Condensation forms when you take something that has been cooling in an air-conditioned room and put it in a warmer environment. If you put it in an airtight container, then the condensation has no chance to dry up until you remove it from the container.

You say the buttons don't work until the next day? Probably because the condensation has evaporated and the camera internals dry out and become usable again.
