On my last trip to HK I took the first view from my room at the Conrad and the street scene is from the footbridge at the Admiralty Center. Please comment between the different shots. I took these with my A520 and a mini tripod.

I love Hong Kong. Do you have any from Victoria?

I think they look pretty good. #1 is slanting a little bit, but that’s easily correctable. I think I like #2 over #1, but the balcony (?) to the left is a bit distracting.
Are you able to manually set aperture on the A520?
They are all nice shots still :)

Thanks, yes you can set the aperture on the A520 and also the ISO. I can't remember the actual settings I had as I was playing around with the camera.
I agree the ledge got in the way. I didn't notice it at first because it was dark.

Sorry, I don't. I mainly stayed in the Kowloon area between my hotel and the Convention Center. I didn't have my camera when I went shopping. :)

Hong Kong has lots of places to take pictures at night. I snapped a few the last time I was there. Really wish to get a chance to go back with a dslr. Here are two I snapped up with a S80 (I'll just link them and not embed the images)

Those are awesome shots as well. I wish I had more mobility to get different angles of the skyline as well as across the harbor.
