Let me just preface this with the fact that I still suck with dSLRs. :-)
But I think I get some pretty good shots occasionally. Any and all opinions are worthwhile to me, whether it be a horrible criticism or a high five! I don't quite have that knack for getting good photos, so all your genius tips are welcome.
They can be found at http://www.seanreed.org/rebelxt/ - all original, 4MB-ish.

You certainly don't suck! The second flower, purple one, is a perfect shot. The one suggestion I have would be around composition, on the last shot you have the main subject dead center. Try framing so that the gorilla is off center at a intersection of the thirds.

Well thanks! And thanks for the tip... Is a centered subject in shots like that kinda "blah"? I do agree that it would probably spice up the picture a bit... I'll have to try it out next time!

Nice (huge) pictures. You don't suck at all. The flower is great. beautiful color, nice detail and good bokeh.

I agree with the others that these pics are pretty good (no suckage here). Good colour, lighting, etc.
For the shot with the frog, I would have zoomed in on it if possible, or cropped the pic in PP as I find that the rest of the pic is distracting. As for the frog itself? Nice pose :).
And yes, the gorilla should have been off set in the picture....remember the rule of thirds.
Other than that, I do like all the pictures. I espescially like the one of the Passion flower (the second pic). Keep working at it, you're doing great already. I'm the same in the sense I just have to tweak the little things ;).
Hope to see more.

Exactly, most snapshots have the subject centered. Study the shots you really like, you'll find most have the subject off center. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_thirds

OK... what is worse than sucking with digital SLRs, because if that is what you do with them, then I am far worse than that. :)
Your pictures are stunning. The purple flower is an amazing shot. That is my favorite of all of them.
You, my friend, do not suck with a digital SLR. You are doing very well and I could definitely learn some tips from you.
Thanks for sharing the shots.
