Intresting this will probarbly be my next lens.
I really like the idea of OS, I shoot mainly wildlife and love to some, shooting at 200mm out of the hand is no problem 300 also is done but 400 is really pushing my luck :D.

Greetings,
Frank

Nice to see the lens is finally out there somewhere,. even it is in Kualla Lumpor or where ever :) (no offense meant to our Malasian photogs and forgive my spelling)

It is a pitty though the choice of subject matter.. to me one shot of 4o story government housing high rises is much the same as the next,. even of the lens is made of oure diamond! :)

nosquare2003, where in Japan are you at. I will be in Tokyo at the end of this month. Will be there for 2 days, friday 30 and leaving-Sunday 2. Is there a chance we can meet in person and maybe you can show me around? Or tell me where to go? Thanks :P

:D My relationship with the Japanese -- is only Playstation. I'm a Chinese indeed, just try to make CDS "embarrassed". But I'm embarrassed now. How strange is it?

Have fun in Tokyo!

Hmmm,

It may be a fault / freak in the test, but while in each instance the OS seems to help, the hand-helf non OS 1/125 looks better than the OS 1/60.
In fact it is about as good as the Tripod 1/60 (hard to belive @ 400mm + crop factor)

I know this is not the case with the IS on my 100-400 L, so I hope for the sake of the sigma lense that this is not a true representation of it's abilities.

Sorry Nosquare,. yes I was kidding,. :)

....and it was meerly meant as "the other side of the world" from where I am standing. It seems there is a not a single one of these lenses in the U.S. yet.

I did know the text was Japanese,. it's just the the name "Kualla Lumpor" sounds so much farther away than "Tokyo" which we all know and love..... :)

I also forgot to say thanks for the link :(
