I would like to know what everyone is using for Color Correction for their photos? I have been checking into 20-20MD, ColorWasher and Intellihance Pro. I would be interested in your comments. /Dave

I have been playing around with ColorWasher. It is very easy to get a grasp of and the results are quite astounding. The one important thing with ColorWasher is to do all your resizing/cropping before applying it. I bought ColorWaher with Focalblade and use FocalBlade last in the workflow.
The neat thing with ColorWasher is the ability to change the preview screen to any configuration. Yuo can run a vertical split, horizontal split or have a total preview screen. Very easy to see that changes that can take place before you hit the enter key.
As I said, i have just started using it but so far it works well for me.

I am leaning towards ColorWasher and FocalBlade, but I just found iCorrect (www.picto.com) and I want to try out this one too. /Dave

I use the iCorrect EditLab plugin for shots that require neutralizing colors across several grey levels (from black to white). It also has tools for contrast and saturation adjustment along with presets that help with adjusting skin, sky and foliage tonality. Unfortunately, I haven't used ColorWasher - so I can't compare. Like most things, you come to like what you use. iCorrect has some features and some quirks. I use it frequently on JPEG shots, less when shooting in RAW. iCorrect works with 8 and 16bit images.
Here's a late afternoon (warm) shot with shade (very cool) that has no *right* color correction - but iCorrect allows you to choose whether to emphasize the warmth or coolness over the different shades of white/grey/black in the image.

Roger's a reliable source.
I just got ColorWasher as part of a package with FocalBlade. I haven't used it yet though. Let you know.

Howie,
Thanks for the kind words about Alicia's photos. She is almost 10 and has a great time with that little digital we bought her this summer. I really liked her snow scenery too. I thought her pictures were better than the ones I took. She still seems to be interested, but I know that can change.
By the way, that's a squirrel in the tree and was taken at Arches National Park. If there's an animal to be found and photographed, she will do it.

Scott,
if you are reading this, what's do you think about FocalBlade? Would you recommend it?

Sorry for the delayed reply. I just started using Focal Blade. I like the results so far. It does a nice job on Automatic. I haven't delved into the manual controls yet.
