Well I'll start off by saying that with all the nice high quality pictures here, mine don't really fit in lol, but despite that I wanted to post a few so you guys can give me some tips. I was visiting a friend of mine in the states and we went to RI, I was just running around snapping pics 'cause everything looked so cool all wet and foggy. Besides getting a better camera and a tripod (some came out really blurry :(), what can I do to improve in the future? Such as doing nightshots, and dealing with this kind of weather...thanks.

Some very atmospheric shots of the Old neighborhood,.
I like the one with the light coming through the trees.

Have you read any H.P. Lovecraft yet? (Eerie horror writer who lived in and wrote about Providence)

Taking night shots is tricky. Blur is becase to get in enough light, the shutter stays open a long time. A tripod will utterly elliminate this issue.

I see you are from that city, do you recognize the area? My friend took me to where all the art schools are (where he was going to attend). The buildings are nice there, don't seem to have any shots of them though.
No I haven't read any of those books, but have heard of the author...I guess my pictures do have an eerie look to them lol.
