Wow, that's some fancy water tower Joe!
Nice 'framing' using the trees. I assume you use a flash to light up the trees and bottom of the tower?

Oh, that's one of my favorite scenes in Chicago! Love your capture of it, too. Thanks for sharing that!

It's on the corner of Chicago and Michigan - just down the block from the John Hancock Building in downtown Chicago.

Yeah, pointed the 580EX up to "bounce" the flash on the trees without getting the building itself.
does that place still operate?
The tower does not, The 138 ft tall stand pipe was removed when they switched to rotery pumps years ago. I believe it now houses the Chicago tourism information center. But I'm not sure about the matching pump house across the street, that might be still in opperation.
