integrating EE into existing website using frames and menus

I would like to be able to call exhibits from buttons that I'm using on my site. I have a navigational bar I am working on, and from that bar, drop down menus for different galleries. I would like to call exhibits from this, but I cannot seem to find the html code to pass to EE to get the galleries to show up. I remember seeing it somewhere, but I've tried searching and looking through the last 10 pages or so of posts. Is it as easy as hot linking to the gallery? I remember seeing somewhere where you could pass variables such as number of images to return and such and ee would display it that way. If anyone knows. I'd appreciate some help :)

And -- I'm assuming this is related -- I think it would be useful to be able to query EE for [x] random pictures from [an exhibit, from the whole shebang, from a category, etc.] on a non-EE page.

The embedding system is not for calling full exhibitions or photo pages, it is for calling specific image listings EE to be inserted on other pages.

Just use what you see in easy links (list page bottom). You could also use some intelligence like getting exhibition names and id's from database, let me know if you need help on that.
