I am in no position to recommend any improvements so I am going to say this ...
Lovely capture.

The baby's mom looks so peaceful and the baby is beautiful.

Not exactly a picture I'd post asking for advice on improvement...its fantastic already (but you probably suspected as much).

I'd like to know what settings and equipment you used to capture this shot (camera/lens/mode/distance/aperature/iso/supplemental lighting/etc), and what (if any) post-processing you applied.

Thanks

Only improvement would be framed and hanging on your wall.
Wow that is an awesome shot a real keepsake.

A lovely gentle picture, I tried doing some cropping as I find the faces are a little too offset to the right and that very slight imbalance fights the restfulness of the image. Did you do a crop, is there any more to the right? Don't worry if there isn't this is only a nitpick.

That is a great capture. There is really nothing you need to do to improve it. If you wanted to a soft focus or smart blur on photoshop might soften in up a little. But that is only if you really wanted to improve it. Otherwise I think it is great the way it is.

Wow, thanks guys, those comments have really made my day!

To answer Point-N-Shoot's questions:

350D Resting on the bed!
AV Mode
50mm 1.8 prime
ISO200
1/60s
F3.2
Only light source was overcast daylight through the bedroom window which was behind, to the right and up a bit, no flash.

In PS I desaturated it, then burned a few highlights on my son's face as they were a touch blown out, then I created an adjustment layer and added a 4.0 Gssnblur to it. On this layer I then erased (so to reveal the background layer) the areas I wanted sharp, eyes, etc. Added a unsharp mask to the baby's eye and finished off with a light sepia photo filter and added a vignetting too. (Did crop a bit too)

Thanks again
