A couple of weeks back, when I was trying to get shots of dragonflies in flight, two speckled wood butterflies came by, rapidly spiralling around eachother. Their 'mutual centre' moved slowly, though the butterflies themsleves were going very fast. I fired several shots and this was the best. My EOS 30D was set to manual mode, ISO 800, 1/1600s f/8, and the 70-200 was at 200mm. The image is only slightly cropped.

tough subject, very good result - never managed to get butterflies in flight even in the Butterfly house, flight too erratic.

I'll echo everyone elses comments - excellent shot, I can't even imagine getting a single butterfly in flight, let alone two of them!!! Amazing.
