Pluses and minuses below (my humble opinion only, please take as constructive criticism)
Picture#1.
- The moon is so small that it looks like a blemish.
- What are the trees framing?
+ Trees form a nice frame. But whenever you have a natural frame like this, use it fully to actually frame something that tells a story.
Picture#2
- I don't know what this picture is saying. It doesn't have much impact. If you're going to photograph a mundane object, enhance its features with dramatic lighting.
Tips:
Always remember, what is the subject? Then use technique to tell the subject's story. If you're purely taking abstract pictures, that's different (but abstract must be something unrecognizable as an item in and of itself).
Hope this helps.

Pluses and minuses...
Picture#1.
- The moon is so small that it looks like a blemish.
- What are the trees framing?
+ The trees forming a nice frame. Whenever you have a natural element like this, use to your advantage to actually frame something prominent. Unless your picture is really only about the trees.
I was about to say the same thing really...the moon is just too small and i honestly said "What the hell is that?"
The trees, as stated, are a nice frame but there is just nothing in there, with that said i think you'd be better of cloning the moon out, it woudl still kind of be a boring picture (not a bad picture...i love the trees) with nothing of value inside of the trees.

Thanks guys!!!
I will keep that in mind.............The moon is too small!! I agree.
The second picture is from a series that I did with my artist figure.......I was just bored...........Guess that mood transcended through my camera :-)
I'll keep on trying I guess.
