I'm not sure if this is the right forum, found this weird section of an image. The colors of the lines were different in Rawshooter then in photoshop.

Is this a camera or CF card error? Glad it wasn't a stellar picture I was taking :D

That's really interesting. If I had to take I guess, I'd say it's your flash card.

It could have been dust and messed up the writing process. I really doubt it's the camera itself. What type of card were you using?

I've had the same thing happen on my 5D when shooting RAW. Occasionally, deleting the sidecar file and then re-opening the problem image by itself in ACR allows me to recover the image.

I have found that this only seems to happen after I have deleted individual images in the camera. When I re-format the card after downloading (now my standard practice) I have never had this happen. This problem has occurred on two separate Sandisk UltraII 2Gb cards, both of which appear to have legitimate markings.

Thanks. I'll chalk it up to the new card I was using. I bought a Lexar 512 card recently, used it for the first time and two other cards I have had for a while. Not sure which card produced this image. Yeah I normally format the card but I do erase pics that aren't so good to conserve much needed space (like today).

Thanks for the feedback.

Suggest that you do more tests -- if it is the card then send it back for a replacement. Try the same card with another camera if you are able to.
