Error 1608: Unable to create install driver- help!

Howdy-

I'm getting the fatal error below when I try to install the Canon Digital Camera Solution Disk software (ver 12.1) on my pc:

"1608: Unable to create install driver instance. Return code -2147221164"

I'm running Win 2000. My DCOM settings are ok. I've upgraded to Service pack 4. Still, no go. :(

Any other ideas are much appreciated!

I answered my own question on a previous post (woo hoo!)

If you run into this problem see:

For me, the solution was to "Manually Register IDriver.exe"
