If it's abandoned I probably know what it is. In this case you're looking at Packerton Yards. The property is 59-acres and is zoned as industrial land. Currently in the town there is a debate about what to use the area for. There is a huge camp that says it should be turned into an art complex and another that wants housing.

Packerton Yards used to be a transfer station for freight cars traveling between Buffalo and New York City, and for the storage and repair of steel and spare passenger rail cars and parts.

Textile plants are MASSIVE and not located on train tracks usually. This is packerton yards.

Floyd I think you're right, I forgot to ask the locals while I was there, but I am surprised that no one here from the area has seen this post, my home is 1 1/2 hours south of Jim Thorpe I should know right?

Nice, looks like an interesting area. There is a lot of abandoned stuff in PA, I just haven't made the trip down. But yeah, like I said if it's abandoned I prolly know what it is or can find out. Here's the industrial report on Packerton Yards:

It is often called the Alps of PA known for beautiful colours in the fall and the old rail system during coal mining days they had the gravity train that used gravity to return to the bottom of the mountains after loading it with coal, they are now called the switchback trails and are used for moutain bikers, gorgeous colours in the fall I used to ride on those trails.
