Hi All

I went down to the river today to get some photos of the jetsprint boats, but errrr..... somehow managed to miss all their racing   , so got the marathon boats as they went through on time trials for their race starting tomorrow. Another first for me, have shot powerboats before (ok years ago on a point and shoot), but this is the first time for jetboats!

These are the shots I like most, C & C welcome:

Nice shots.
The boats have a different look from the days of "Commodore" with it's twin turbo 464 Chev :D

Hi All

Hehe - nice photos - the boats have changed a bit over the years :) The meeting was to celebrate the 25th anniversary of jetsprinting in NZ, which started on the Manawatu River. This is the first (and I would say last) time in a while that the racing has been there as the jetsprints are now on the specially constructed tracks. The marathon time trial was part of the celebrations :)

Nice images, like your low vantage point. Note you used 1/160th - assume you've had some practise at panning shots before, these guys look as though they were motoring..
