During the summer season, bogs and marshlands are usually a lush green, but when Fall hits, the reeds growing in this marsh all turn a golden yellow.
Thanks for looking

Wonderful, beautiful shot Frank, I love the contrast between the bronze of the grasses and the grey in the sky. Just wonderful.

That is outstanding, Frank. You are really taking advantage of those stormy skies. You must have studied with our Scottish masters.

The landscape, light and colours could fool anyone into thinking you shot that over our side of the pond :)

Thank you Dimitri, that's very encouraging
Wonderful, beautiful shot Frank, I love the contrast between the bronze of the grasses and the grey in the sky. Just wonderful.
Thanks Sandy, the part of the island where I live has alot of evergreen trees so when the marsh changes color it really stands out.

Thanks Stan, I used to get discouraged when the dark clouds moved in but now I run for the camera.
Will never fill the shoes of the Scottish masters Stan, they're way to good.

Nicely done Frank. You look like you've got a touch of Dimitri in that shot. ;)
You took the words right out of my mouth. That looks like a scene and exposure that Dimitri would have (foreground rocks, calm water, colors, etc). Nice work, Frank, and thanks for making the effort to get that shot and share it with us.

While it does remind me a bit of Dimitris work it really fits in well with the moody atmospheric landscapes you've been sharing with us lately Frank. Keep up the good work I've really been enjoying your posting as of late.

Thanks so much John, I assume your talking about the calm water.
No, I was being more complimentary than that and meaning the photo in its entirety. :)

Thanks JT, but I don't even come close to Dimitri's work, my skills aren't that fine tuned

Have you tried to print that shot? It looks to be a real challenge to capture the range of color and light. A shot like this shows why putting the horizon at the upper or lower third is so important. I also like the red repeated in the foreground/background. Magazine worthy, IMHO.

John Thanks again but I don't feel worthy enough nor do I have the skills to be compared to the master himself, Dimitri.
I'll add my congrats as well... stunning colours and composition in the foreground.. almost unhealthy luck with the calm water, and great work on the clouds.
Thanks Adam, as soon as I broke through the thick brush and say the calm water I knew I had to do something other than panic.
Another 'cracker' Frank, excellent burst of colour in the foreground - well done.

Thanks Alan, I spotted the patch of yellow from about a thousands yards away and thought it might be interesting
