My Trip To Mauritius

Mauritius is Situated East of Africa it is a small island in the Indian Ocean that is where I'm from, every couple of years my family & I like to go back it's amazing how different it is to Australia.

On this occasion I was able to use a digital camera so much better than film I took many pictures 4 galleries in total I used a Canon G3 with a 58mm Circ Pol

I first became aware of Mauritius and the surrounding by reading Patrick O'Brien's "The Mauritius Command" one of the twenty novels he wrote based on the characters featured in the new Russel Crow movie "Master and Commander"

It is nice to see some of what was described. :)

Someday maybe first hand,.. and I'll wave as I pass La Reunion.

Thanks for the intro! I plan to stop over on Mauritius on my way to La Reunion this time. Any particular photo locations/opportunities you recommend on Mauritius?

I recommend you go to Colored Earth, Grand Baie by day, Port Louis by night some great night shots to be had, not to mention Ile Aux Cerf a great little beach where many tourist go well worth a look you will be shocked by it's beauty
