Hi all
I'm trying to decide whether a wider or tighter angle works with this bridge.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Adam

One of my favourite London Bridges, used to cross it everyday on my way to or from work. I prefer the tighter shot bu would have liked one from further to the right to show more of the second arch and the traffic 'tails'. I know that it's impossible in this shot to include river but this angle doesn't quite convey the purpose of the bridge to me, it is such an attractive piece of architectural archeology I prefer views that include the river too. Good at night though.

Thanks for the comments Gerry.. I know it's not a spectacular shot, I didn't submit it for C&C, just to see whether a tighter angle or wider angle is better :)
I love this bridge as well, it's up the road from me.

Further to the above, I think that the reason why the tighter crop works better is the ratio of black to colour. I wonder would a tighter 'more' landscape version work better? Jist playing about moving No 1 up and down on the monitor screen I feel better cropping tighter to the top of the lightning xonduxtors on the columns and then into the softer dark area at the bottom. letterbox shape.:)

I prefer #2 too because it makes more of a foreground feature of the phonebox, and removes the distorted kiosk on the right-hand side.

Thanks John.. the only thing I like about the first is the pavement blocks as a "foreground"... but that was my only hesitation.
